Madeleine L’Engle (1918-2007)
I learned today, September 17, 2007, that one of my favorite authors passed away earlier this month, but I was so buried in tinkering with my blog and busyness that I missed this newsworthy occurrence.
Madeleine L’Engle’s loss took me by surprise and so I’ve been scouring the ‘Net for as much information about this gifted author and human being as I can find in order to share it with my readers.
This page and those that follow are a tribute to an author who posthumously changed my view of my own place in this world as a writer. (See the My Tribute link below for details about how Madeleine reached beyond the grave and changed my life.)
Her words may have outlived her mortal body, but she believed in a life that transcends mortality. It remains to be seen which will outlive the other in eternity.
