Creative Writing – - Another Blow for Writer’s Block

To prove that not only published authors can offer advice about coming up with ideas to write about, writing student Samantha Asher advises anyone stuck for Creative Writing ideas not to panic. She also suggests this:
“…try writing some short stories. Even if you come up with an idea that you think sounds stupid, give it a try and write…. You might find that the dumb idea you thought of turned into a great story.”
Other tips she offers include paying attention to the people, places and things in your environment.
- people around you
- conversations around you
- your workplace
- favorite destinations
- a single room that you know well
- your dreams
- entries in your personal or writing journal
