Creative Writing Ideas at Your Fingertips
By Deb Gallardo
I came across a Squidoo Lens link on Twitter this week on creative writing. By writer/editor Katherine Huether, the lens offers suggestions for having creative writing ideas at hand when you’re ready to write. Here’s what she has to say:
…If I only have thirty minutes to work on a poem or story, I can’t afford to spend 25 of it trying to come up with an idea to work with.
Below is a list of ways to get those ideas and have them on hand:
Keep a Creative Writing Idea File
Act Like a Kid to Stimulate Creativity
In the Present - A Writing Exercise
Try Writing a Novel Instead
Pick a Selfish Project
Words in a Jar
