Writing blog http://pearlwriting.blogspot.com mentions a quick and easy tip for making a list of sensory observations that can spark story ideas. Yes, I have a one-track mind on this blog when it comes to story ideas, as much as possible. Blogger Angela WD says,
“Wake up and pay attention!”
The world around us is teeming with the beautiful, grotesque, odd, and wonderful. Wherever you are, practice your best powers of perception and memory. Record what your kids’ clothes smell like when they’ve been out playing in the snow. Remember the quirks you noticed in that tough-looking band of pierced and black-clad teenagers in line at the Dairy Queen. Write down the peculiar things you hear people say on their cell phones. You’ll have an unlimited vocabulary for description in your writing, and you’ll probably come up with some great story ideas, too. Read entire post ยป
