By Deb Gallardo
Author Dan Goodwin, the creativity coach, has a series of articles on that pesky Inner Critic we creative types have to deal with. You know exactly the one I mean. I’ll be reviewing these articles to bring them to you over the next few blog posts.
Today’s article is entitled “How to Politely Ask Your Inner Critic to Leave the Building.” He says that a friend was explaining how she blocks out everything around her and when she does that, she says it’s as though her inner critic “has left the building.” So here are Dan’s 5 steps to take to politely boot that nagging inner critic right out the door. That image alone is worth its weight in gold.

- Give your inner critic a personality.
- Thank your inner critic.
- Be aware of its movements.
